Our Lady of Mount Carmel & Star of the Sea Panel #13771
Our Lady of Mount Carmel is one of the many titles of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is the name given by hermits who lived on Mount Carmel and dedicated a chapel in her honor. These hermits were later known as the Carmelites, a religious order promoting devotion to the Blessed Mother. The image of Our Lady is magnificently portrayed in this two-part fine quality stained glass design.
In the top panel, Our Lady is shown with the Child Jesus holding scapulars, which symbolize Mary's special
protection to those who wear them. The Carmelites also call Our Lady as the 'Star of the Sea' to signify her promise to rise like a star above the sea to guide them through the difficult waters of life. The symbolism for this additional title is depicted in the bottom panel. A golden textured backdrop and a dazzling blue arched frame infuse elegance to the entire piece. Have this stained glass image of Our Lady as a window insert to a church or prayer room as a reminder of her grace and assistance to those who seek her.

A religious window like this would make a good addition to a house of worship or a hospital chapel.
