The Virgin of Coromoto Panel #13762
More than three centuries ago, the Blessed Virgin Mary is said to have appeared to an Indian tribe in Guanare, Venezuela to ask them to covert into Christianity. This apparition was the basis of another known image of the Blessed Mother, known as the Virgin of Coromoto or Our Lady of Coromoto. A splendid portrayal of the Virgin is featured in this stained glass design. She is sitting on her heavenly throne while holding the Child Jesus on her lap. An arched blue frame with golden checkered pattern add fascinating detail to this captivating religious piece.
A religious window like this would make a good addition to a house of worship or a hospital chapel.
