Simon Peter of Cephas Panel #13687
Considered the first Pope, Saint Peter is one of the key figures in Christianity. He was one of the twelve apostles and was ordained by Christ as “the Rock,” from which He will build the Church. Saint Peter is depicted wearing a green and purple robe in this artwork. He is shown holding the symbolic “Key of Heaven” and the bible, which both represent his significant roles in the spread of the Christian faith. An exquisite arched frame in red and yellow colors and a blue border adds an interesting detail to this stained glass panel.
A religious window like this would make a good addition to a house of worship or a hospital chapel.
